The Atmore: The Dining Table That Owns the Room

A dining table is one of the simplest objects in a room: a top, a base, a place to gather. So why does everyone who walks past the Atmore stop, look, and put a hand on it?

It comes down to the finish. We started with a familiar shape, a generous oval, and poured all our attention into the surface. The result is a table that feels sculpted rather than built. It’s the piece people photograph first and remember longest.

A finish that radiates

The Atmore’s top is dressed in radial walnut veneer. Slim leaves of walnut are laid out from the center so the grain fans outward like a sunburst, all the way to the oval’s edge.

Look closely and the surface seems to move. The flame-like figure catches light differently from every angle: warm honey in the morning, deep cognac by candlelight. The rich, layered grain gives the top real visual depth, so it reads less like a flat surface and more like something you could fall into.

Then run your hand across it. You can feel the wood’s character: a soft, organic texture where the grain rises and settles. It’s tactile in the way only real wood is, and it invites people to linger.

A familiar oval. An unforgettable surface.

A base like liquid metal

Underneath, a single cone pedestal in mirror-polished chromed steel sweeps up to meet the top. It’s the perfect counterpoint: cool where the walnut is warm, sleek where the grain is organic.

The pedestal reflects everything around it, so it feels almost weightless and quietly picks up the colors of the room. It also means no corner legs. Chairs slide in from any angle, and everyone gets a clean, comfortable seat at the table.

One table, three rooms

The Atmore changes its role with the room around it.

  • The dining room. It seats eight with ease, and the oval keeps conversation flowing. With no head of the table, everyone’s in the middle of the story. Pair it with upholstered chairs in a soft boucle or cognac leather to echo the walnut.
  • The conference room. Polished enough for the boardroom, warm enough that meetings don’t feel like meetings. At 94.5″ long, it fits a team of eight and turns a standard meeting room into a statement.
  • The hotel entrance. Place it in a lobby or architectural entryway with an oversized floral arrangement or a sculptural centerpiece, and it becomes the first impression guests photograph. It’s tough enough for hospitality and beautiful enough to anchor the space.

Same table, three very different stories. That’s the kind of versatility designers and buyers love to specify.
