ZUO among the first to sign lease for New Interior Home + Design Center @ Dallas Market

Dallas Market Center, a destination for Fashion, Lighting, Gift and Home Décor buyers, has just launched the Interior Home + Design Center; located on the first floor of the Trade Plaza. The new 220,000 square feet expansion project will serve as an open-daily marketplace for Interior Designers and Retailers, in both Residential & Commercial Markets. This feature of being open daily will create additional design resources for not only local industry professionals but to Mid-America and South America buyers. Being that space is limited in this new Design Center; a select number of companies have the opportunity to design their own custom showroom as part of DMC’s largest expansion and renovation in 40 years!

ZUO Marketing Coordinator Serena Martin interviewed Director of Leasing Babs Blair:

I cannot be more excited about the launch of the Interior Home + Design Center and that ZUO is just as excited to be one of the first companies to come on board, with a new showroom design and layout. Construction will begin in July in multiple stages; as current tenants relocate to their new locations. Construction and design will be ongoing from now until the official launch prior to the January 2017 Total Home & Gift Market.

Where did the idea come from?

The idea for this new expansion came from the incredible amount of daily business that is on our campus from qualified designers and retailers each month. It showed us that we need to increase our offerings in the products that designers buy most at non-market times. The facility that Interior Home + Design Center is in was in need of a fresh look; so we took that opportunity to dedicate these 220,000 square feet to new companies on our campus or existing companies that are relocating to gain additional exposure and who embrace the design communities’ business with this one of kind opportunity.

What will the interior marketplace look like?

The expansion and design will have an open, airy, Mid-Century feel with wide hallways, tons of light and beautiful showrooms. Additionally, there will be upgraded amenities and services including more parking and valet as well as front door registration and a concierge on site.

What kind of marketing and events can we expect?

DMC has planned a comprehensive, full scale marketing campaign with special events, retail ambassadors, social media mavens, press coverage and emails beginning scheduled from the kick-off party and continuing beyond the grand opening.
