WAREHOUSE MANAGER – FL
Supervise daily activities of warehouse and workers engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping company's products to ensure that productivity targets are met. Oversee management of warehouse, including, recruitment, training and disciplinary actions. Maintain computerized administration and automated storage and retrieval systems. Inspect physical condition of warehouse and equipment and ensure that all necessary maintenance, repair, and replacements are completed successfully and in a timely manner. Confer with executive management in all company locations in order to coordinate warehouse activities, such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing. Review invoices, work orders, shipping documents and demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to provide work assignments. Oversee scheduling and monitoring of air or surface pickup, delivery, and distribution of products and materials. Examine products and materials to estimate quantities or weight and type of container required for storage or transport. Plan, develop, and implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities and develop and document standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, and shipping products and materials. Use knowledge of furniture design to plan organization and arrangement of goods within the warehouse, and when necessary take into account special requirements for certain specialty stock, such as fragile products. Prepare reports, operations, maintenance, and safety manuals and respond to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services. Develop and implement plans for facility modification or expansion, such as equipment purchases or changes in space allocation or structural design and evaluate locations for new warehouses and distribution networks to determine their potential usefulness.
