How to Spice Up Your Home for Fall

Just because the dog days of summer are almost over, does not mean that you must stop loving the outdoors or spending time in your backyard. You can extend your summer love to the up and coming autumn. Fall can be a loved season as well considering its football season, Halloween, and trees change colors. With just a few additions, you can reimagine your home to be ready for the fall season.

Colors

Look at what the leaves on the trees do when fall begins and be inspired to do the same to your home. Change or add a color to your space; This can be all it takes to announce the fall season. This does not mean that you must change your gray sofa or your white armchair, simply add an orange foliage pillow. The throw pillow will say ‘fall’ without actually spelling it out on the pillow. You can even add some dried florals (they are cheap) or dried corn husks to your Centre pieces. If you are feeling extra adventurous, add a fall colored rug to your indoors or outdoors to ground the space with a fall vibe. Pillows, rugs, and small décor pieces are the perfect way to make your home cozy for the fall season.

Add Fabrics and Textures

Aside from the fall colored throw pillows and rugs, add more, more, and more textures and layers to your home. Mix and match textures in any of the rooms or outside space of your home to make your home cozier (and trendier). Nothing screams Fall like textures do. Another fall ~must~ is a throw blanket that will complement any piece of furniture and make your home feel warmer with style. Like me, most people dread fall coming because you feel like you are no longer going to be able to spend time outdoors. But I realized that you can! Add cushions and throw blankets to your outdoor furniture so that you will want to still spend time outdoors and be just as cozy and warm. You can even add a firepit which will make you feel like you are in outdoor heaven, you may even feel like you are indoors.

Lighting

As it is getting closer to Halloween and the trick-or-treating season, think about adding Chic outdoor lighting to your front and backyard. With lampposts, people will be able to see the front of your home, which is especially important if you want kids to stop at your house to get candy and not think that your house is haunted. Lighting will also add to the design and style of your home and make it feel livelier. If you do not want lampposts, you can add string lights which are also fun, hip and trendy. ZUO offers an endless collection of lighting.

With just these simple additions, you home will be ready for the fall season! Even if you do not want to add all these things, just picking one of these additions will add to the fall feel in your home.
